AYC Skipper Course
3-Day Skipper Course
Course Content
The AYC 3-Day Skipper Course provides you with a solid introduction to navigation, meteorology, and the basics of seamanship. It is mandatory and required that you read the AYC Skipper Training Manual prior to taking the test. The course takes place onboard one of our yachts (10m to 16m) to help you familiarize yourself as much as possible with the conditions on a sailing boat.
Practical Content
The AYC Skipper Course includes an assessment of the practical handling of the boat, followed by a brief review of your knowledge of navigation and collision regulations, as well as the recognition and correct interpretation of warning signs. The goal of the course is to teach you pilotage, navigation, seamanship, and boat handling to a level where anyone can safely operate a yacht during daylight hours. The minimum age to obtain a Croatian B-license is 16 years!
